It is my desire and goal for your portrait experience to be an enjoyable one from the first click to the beautiful, professional prints you will cherish for years to come. I give close attention to the fine details in each image you receive, and although I will make adjustments to help you look your best, please come already prepared just as you hope to appear in your photos. I will fix facial blemishes, scratches on children, stray hairs, and other “imperfections” within reason.
Your face is where you want the attention in your photographs. This can be achieved by wearing long pants and long sleeves keeping the skin on your face the focal point. If you choose to wear short sleeves, patterned tops and bold jewelry can work but solid colors and simple accessories are better. Avoid clothing with large writing on it. I recommend ladies avoid sleeveless tops/dresses unless upper arms are covered with a shawl, wrap, or jacket.
When planning for a photograph with more than one person there are a few things to keep in mind. Choose similarly themed attire- everyone dressed casually or everyone in dress clothes. When selecting colors, keep all of the color tones in the same range. For example do not have on person in pale blue and another person in bright blue or one person in neon yellow and black checkers and another person in pastel pink. Avoid greens and yellows as they tend to adversely affect skin tones.
